Labour miss an open goal.
Again.

The Tories keep setting them up and every time they fuck up.

So last night Corbyn was doing some climate meeting and his brother stood up to ask a question and he was told to sit down because they only wanted questions from women and people of colour.

At another meeting a Labour party executive told the audience that they didn't want to have any questions from white males.

And then Starmer saying it's wrong to say that only women have cervixes....it's a medical fact you fool.

How is all of this going to sit with our friends up North?

FFS what more shit can the Tories get away with before the Labour party start to take advantage?

It's there on a plate for them but all they want to do is fight each other! And as for Angela Rayner! What is wrong with her? A decent, strong leader would be taking the Tories apart.

Politicians, from all sides, are shit.

Don't forget Raynor calling the Government Racist, Homophobic, Misogynistic and scum bags.

Absolutely priceless.

any 'decent ' candidate wouldn't get anywhere near leadership. the cunts pulling politicians strings don't want decent, psychopathy is a better trait

I really wish I didn't have to vote Tory time and time again. I cannot justify voting labour with these bunch of cretins.... it's impossible.

I think Starmer's cervix comment is just a smear.

It is so frustrating! I want a decent opposition to hold this shower of shit accountable and all they seem to do is fuck up.

They are the David Kelly of politics!

They ain’t got to say a thing. Basic Sun Tzu 101. “If a enemy is making mistakes. Let him carry on.”

I've got a lot of time for a lot of what labour stands for - but not this shit.

Why haven't they got the sense to do what the Tories do and keep all the fringe-minge stuff away from the public eye until they get elected - and then start rolling it out?

Any one of those issues cause me to file the whole labour portfolio under "loony", no matter what the Islaintiistas think I should feel about it.

That cervix thing is unfuckingbelievable and the cunts want your vote?

southbankbornnbred 3:04 Mon Sep 27
Re: Labour miss an open goal.
You always get loony issues coming up at fringe events. It will also happen at the Tory conference.

But Starmer's statement is just fucking odd and belies his lack of political nous.

Labour are tinkering while Rome burns. It's a fucking sorry state of affairs, given the hopeless shower in government.

Hard to think of an era in which the British public were so poorly served, irrespective of political beliefs. And I don't buy the "voters get what they deserve" bullcrap: those pulling strings behind the scenes (primarily major donors) are effectively running the major political parties at the moment.

I genuinely can't think of a major, or even average-sized, party which is well run and competent. Probably, incredibly, the Scottish Nationalists get closest to that. Which says it all.

Re: Labour miss an open goal.
The SNP are possibly even worse than Labour or Conservatives, they have just very successfully bought off the scottish media.

Look at every single devolved power they have, and every single metric is worse than in England despite spending more per capita than us; health, education, police - its all been ruined by the scotch nazis. They even have the british army having to drive ambulances up there.

WHO needs to form a political party.

It would be utter carnage but fun to watch.

Totally agree with all of that. Labour has been in self-destruct mode for years now and it's not getting any better, just when we need an effective opposition and an electoral alternative. Yes, it's a long time until the next election, but support takes time to build, and Labour haven't even begun to create any momentum.

Thought it was Momentum, that was the cause of their problems, in the first place...

i actually think Rayner's comments are pretty smart.

Will tap into the social media generation & its kangaroo court mentality more than normal political discourse.

Re: Labour miss an open goal.
I get the distinct impression that many in the Labour camp don't actually want the power of government and much prefer the snug, warm feeling they get from sniping at the government from their self-defined moral high ground.

If they actually won an election and had to put in the hours required to come up with practical solutions to real-world problems, they'd all sign themselves off on long-term sick-leave, hoping someone else will get the job done in their absence.

Re: Labour miss an open goal.
Rayner lacks any intelligence. Another case of being promoted well above your ability.

A lot like that in the Government and opposition to be fair though.

Come On You Irons 4:07 Mon Sep 27
Re: Labour miss an open goal.
Rayner is a poster girl for the wealth hating lefties.

Get pregnant at 16, leave school with no qualifications, get a union job, then become a SPAD and a professional politician (as her website describes her) and gob off spout class war hatred towards the centre-right while all the while earning a six figure salary and claiming thousands in expenses.

Her nose is well and truly in the trough.

Labour scum!

Pedro 4:22 Mon Sep 27
Re: Labour miss an open goal.
Rayner says such things a lot. Loves a sound bite.
Apparently has leadership ambitions!

Labour are dead as a party. No opposition at all.

The SNP are the main threat to Tories now.
